AUTUMN – FALL – L’AUTOMNE – HERBST – AKI

O hushed October morning mild,
Thy leaves have ripened to the fall;
Tomorrow’s wind, if it be wild,
Should waste them all….

Release one leaf at break of day;
At noon release another leaf;
One from our trees, one far away.
Retard the sun with gentle mist;
Enchant the land with amethyst….

Wait till you see some more I was so tired to really do much of a POST
I was thankful for solid roof and clean home and our cat to greet us 
I had many items to wash in sink and today I will set about laundry and drying on line if we will see the sun 
I have a big yard sale to get ready for this Sunday a PLANT SALE for the local garden club I am secretary of most members say they are members but it falls on 2 or 3 to get it all done 
Things are just turning yellow here. I do like October! Thanks for beautiful pictures, and lovely words to start the day – and the month.

Beautiful! Autumn is my favorite time of the year, I bet it is glorious in the mountains!
The foliage on our hills here is looking better every day. I should think further south in the mountains it is even more colourful. I love the colours of autumn too!

Stunning photos! October is one of my favorite months–May being the other.
Oh yes, May is my second favourite too – with everything bursting into bud. But October is definitely my number one – my birthday month too!
