This will be me tomorrow morning, flying over some of the wonderful Bavarian countrside on my way to England!
If it’s a clear day I will be able to look down within the first 20 minutes on our little town, and perhaps the village where I live. (Nestling on the slopes of the valley and overlooked by two medieval castles, my village is quite pretty, especially from above!)
Then I will be served something (barely) edible, and some tea that could be coffee, or vice versa!
I enjoy flying, (despite the food!) and always take a window seat so I can gaze at the land and sea below… or the fluffy white clouds. When we have crossed the English Channel I look forward to seeing the Thames estuary and the off-shore windparks just north of the river mouth. We may even fly directly over London, and I can spot the London Eye in a nook of the Thames.
And I can never wait to see how green England will look from above, with all its patchwork fields and hillside spinneys… if it’s a clear day!
