Tuesdays at Two (December 11th)

More snow! After a thaw last Tuesday, it gradually got colder during the week and then snowed all Sunday afternoon, all day Monday, and then again this morning… It stopped around lunchtime, and while I was shovelling snow the sun came out briefly, so I took this photo a little earlier – about 1pm.

The forecast is for more icy days below zero… perfect for all those visitors to the Christmas markets, sipping mugs of mulled wine. It tastes so much better when your feet are cold, your fingers numb, and your nose throbbing! (Believe me!)Β  πŸ˜‰

    • Rain can be miserable in December, but the plants are loving it and will show their thanks in spring. Perhaps you’ll get some snow for Christmas Donna!

  1. Oh gosh – I can see why you can’t plant bulbs Cathy! Not as much as a single flake here yet, although I saw some white stuff on the Pennines when I went to Manchester the other day. You have so much of it that I can see some of it has drifted over into your blog πŸ™‚

  2. Lovely snowy photo this week Cathy! We’ve no snow here just yet, but sub zero temperatures and icy roads – does that count as an excuse for some mulled wine?

  3. An absolutely beautiful photo, but . . . I don’t know the practicalities of shovelling would any longer appeal. And I remember having a gift and talent as a child of slipping wherever I put my foot – there was always blood on my knees πŸ™‚ ! Oh, it’s 29 degrees C here and the sun is smiling!! Am sending a little warmth over . . .
