Whatever you are doing, either with loved ones or not, I hope it’s a lovely day for you.
Smile at a stranger – they’ll smile back, guaranteed!
Wave at someone you have never seen before, and I bet they’ll wave back!
And if something makes you happy, Laugh Out Loud – it’s good for you (and it’s catching too)!
βMay flowers always line your path and sunshine light your day…”
(from an old Irish blessing)
Love, Cathy xxx
Beautiful flowers Cathy!!! Happy Valentine’s Day to you and yours! Because of all the snow our roads are not passable so we are not celebrating Valentine’s until Saturday! We are going to try a new local restaurant.
Happy Valentine’s Day!

Enjoy your meal out this weekend, and take care on your snowy roads! π
Wise advice for any day of the year. Happy Valentine’s Day.
Have a warm and cosy day looking out at your snow Susie!
Hi Cathy, it works online too
…. and made me smile! π
π Glad it had the desired effect. Have a lovely weekend too Uta. π
I love both, but I’m very partial to orange roses. How can you not but feel warmer and happier just looking at those colors. Happy Valentine’s Day!
Thanks Debra! I love my orange rose and planted a second one last autumn, so I hope it flowers as beutifully as this one did.
This is beautiful, Cathy! In words and images, you put a big smile on my face. Happy Valentine’s Day to you from us,
Dina
Thanks Dina – hope you both have a happy day and a lovely weekend! (And your book fairies too, of course….)
A lovely quote. Sending you a virtual bouquet of your favourite flowers Cathy π
Aah, how sweet Anna. Thank you!
Happy Valentine`s Day to you, Cathy, …and “May flowers always line your path and sunshine light your day…”. What a beautiful Irish blessing!
Love, Elisabeth
Thank you Elisabeth…. we certainly had the sunshine today! π
Beautiful both words and picture – have a great day too π
Thanks Annette. We had some lovely sunshine for most of the day, and the birds have been so happy and noisy chirping away as if spring is not far off. Maybe they know it’s Valentine’s Day too!
What a lovely post Cathy, I like the blessing. Happy Valentine’s Day, I am sending you a large bunch of heavily scented sweep peas, sorry they are only virtual.
Mmmm, they smell heavenly Janet! Thank you VERY much! π
I often find myself smiling and waving at strangers… usually because I forget to put my contact lenses in. The kids say, “Who is that?” I tell them and they explain that it isn’t the person I thought it was. You are right, though. The strangers always smile and wave back.
Happy Valentines Day.
I often do too, since I don’t know many villagers “close up” I wave just in case they are locals…. we have a lot of tourists here in the summer, so they must wonder who’s waving and grinning at them as I drive past! π
Happy Valentine’s Day!
Thanks Sheryl. Hope you get some fine weather and relaxation at the weekend! π
What a satisfying Valentine’s Day post! From the stunning flowers to the kind thoughts, I’m charmed! Happy Valentine’s Day Cathy!
Thank you Deb! That’s a lovely thing to say! Hope your day was nice too. π
Lovely post! I think I might not wave at a stranger as they might think me a little mad – especially as I run away quickly to hide my own embarrassment π – but smilling at them wouldn’t be so extreme.
Beautiful pictures and I love the Irish quote.
I think you should try the wave thing… if it ever happens to me I don’t think they are mad, but that I must know them from somewhere, and it gets me thinking about it all day! π
Beautiful, both sentiments and flowers. I love your banner too. β₯
Thank you! Have a lovely weekend!
A great reminder to make everyone feel the love…Happy Valentine’s Day Cathy!
You too Donna – hope it was a nice day for you. π
Look at that pink colour. Amazing. So try about smiling at strangers. Non weird looking ones I suppose because I would not dare smile at the ones that talk to themselves outside London Underground stations!
Selective smiling (and waving) may be better in that case! Thanks for visiting Urvashi!
Gorgeous Cathy! Hope you had a luv-ly day too! What variety of Peony is that? It is SO beautiful!
Thanks Andrea! As I don’t know the name of that peony I should name it after the lady who gave it to me… Eva. π Several years ago she gave me several tubers of white and pink peonies which i divided and planted in various positions… and all have thrived!
Happy (late) Valentines day to you too Cathy! I hope you had a great day with loved ones as well. Really sweet post and such beautiful flowers for a special day π
Thank you! It was a nice day with some sunshine and my parents were here too. π
