In a Vase on Monday: I don’t believe it!

Okay, it’s a fake. How did you guess! πŸ˜‰

Nicer than what is out there right now though.

And better than nothing!

Actually this vase is from last June.

Roll on summer!

Spring wouldn’t be too bad either…

Go and visit Cathy at Rambling in the Garden for some REAL February vases. πŸ™‚

  1. I briefly wondered whether you had been carried away on a magic carpet Cathy to far off exotic climes. Once that start button is pressed spring will soon get out of the starting blocks but a bit of time travel in the meantime is an excellent idea methinks.

  2. Oh, please don’t wish your life away Cathy – as long as we know that spring will indeed follow every winter we know it’s not too long a time to wait…

    • I have plenty to keep me occupied indoors until it warms up anyway Cathy, but it does seem to be taking longer this year… Nice to think of what’s to come though!

    • Daffodils and tulips would cheer up my garden no end. Hope to get out and do some tidying this week though so that when those shoots do appear they will stand out even more. πŸ™‚

    • The catkins aren’t quite dancing here yet, but we did have higher temperatures today: 8Β°C (plus!), which is the warmest this year so far! πŸ™‚

  3. Wishing you a bit of sunshine and warmth, Cathy! It’s gone a bit grey even here, but that is because we are still getting some much-appreciated rainfall – so no complaints πŸ˜‰ I do look forward to seeing your daffodils begin to bloom!

  4. If we can sing about “dreaming of a white Christmas,” we can dream about spring and summer! Your beautiful vase from months before is a lovely reminder of what we have to look forward to! I hope you definitely see an early spring, Cathy! πŸ™‚

    • Oh yes, ‘I’m dreaming of a green Springtime, with every tiny seed I sow…’ LOL! I hope you are still above water Debra. Your state has been on our news with the Oroville dam threatening to break.

  5. It’ s nice to remember the abundant vases of June in February. Yesterday the sun shone here, a very unfamiliar sight. The temperature shot up to the dizzy height of 9 degrees.

  6. You had me going! Thanks for the smile, Cathy. I’m glad to see you are dreaming of spring and summer. February is often the time when we’re longing for the spring that seems months away, yet it will be on us soon. I hope yours arrives early or on time.

    • Glad it made you smile Alys! Looking through last year’s photos was very therapeutic. I have one single snowdrop trying to open, so that is a good sign! Hope you are safe – your latest storm doesn’t sound very nice at all.

      • Cathy, it is therapeutic looking back on greener days. It’s a nice reminder of what’s to come, and of the pleasure we’ve had in the past. We’re enjoying a couple of dry days here in San Jose. The flood waters have not fully receded, but a few residents have been allowed to return home. The cleanup efforts will be quite a task.
