In a Vase on Monday: Pink September

September is turning out to be beautiful, with warm sunny days and cool misty nights. There seems to be enough moisture in the heavy dews to keep the garden beds going, but as much as I am enjoying this weather, some rain would be very welcome. Nevertheless, the flowers are still coming, so to join Cathy at Rambling in the Garden for her Monday meme here is a rather pink vase full of what my garden has to offer.

The gorgeous deep pink Aster ‘Septemberrubin’ – a magnet for the bees – is at the centre…

…with Miscanthus, Cosmos Daydream and Purity, Verbena bonariensis, Gaura, Everlasting flowers and a few other bits and bobs.

Maybe you can just see the Echinacea at the front: ‘Green Jewel’, which is quite eyecatching.

And here is a shot of the bouquet with that blue sky in the background again, which we seem to have had more than our fair share of this year. Not complaining though!

Do visit Cathy (Rambling in the Garden) to see her vase. She always finds such fun props to go with her vases too and this week is no exception!

Wishing you all some September sunshine and blue skies!
