The Californian poppies finally took off last year and have been amazing until just about a week ago, even with some frost! Yes, I will do this meme again next November as it has really helped me focus a bit and has lifted my spirits. Thank you for joining in Cathy xx

Yes, I agree. It has been a lot of fun and I will be going back to look at all these posts again over the next week or so as there was so much to take in! I hope you have some winter projects to keep you busy Eliza. I am crocheting like mad at the moment. I find activity is helping me cope. My main worry is not being able to get to the UK should I need too. Thank goodness for Facetime! Let’s hope winter is kind to us all and sbowdrop season will be upon us before we know it. It was unexpectedly challenging in our household for a variety of reasons, but every single week holds beauty and joy — it’s all a matter of seeking and appreciating. Yes, advent seems a bit strange without the Christmas markets opening this year, but I have unpacked all my candles and stars etc today for a little sparkle at home, and the lights are up outside. Wishing you and your family a happy Advent too March. It was so nice that you managed to join in! xx

The weather sadly stopped me from gathering greenery for a decoration or advent crown… everything is still coated in ice and snow is forecast! Hopefully next weekend….

Thank you for such an inspiring challenge. I’ve enjoyed everyone’s contributions, visited some new gardens along the way, and smiled every day. It has also made me review my garden, made me realise that I’ve not taken enough photographs in my gardens this year AND reminded my why I returned to blogging – the gardeners and their fabulous gardens.
