A Week of Flowers Day Seven, 28th November 2020

Today is the last day of A Week of Flowers for this year. The Grand Finale so to speak. πŸ˜‰ I would like to stretch out a giant hug and huge thanks to all those who have joined in or left comments. πŸ€—πŸ€—πŸ€—

This has been a wonderful booster – and I know not just for me. So without further ado, here is the last dose of bright and colourful summer flowers. Just imagine it is July and the sun is shining!

With many thanks. I hope you all have a wonderful weekend and a peaceful first Sunday in Advent. xx

P.S. A bonus photo for Jason at Garden in a City who hasn’t been too well recently. Jason introduced me to Tithonias many moons ago for which I am eternally grateful! Wishing you all the best Jason.

    • Oh yes, Geranium Rozanne is a star. I didn’t want it at first because it is soooooo common! But it really does look fabulous for months on end and has a little autumn colour too. Thanks for sharing your garden with us this week Susie! πŸ¦‹πŸ€—πŸ¦‹

  3. This was a lot of fun, Cathy, reviewing the garden year when the dark days are closing in on us. I realized yesterday that in only 4 months, snowdrops will be blooming… that definitely cheered me up! Time does fly and I’ll be gardening again after not too long a hiatus. Happy Advent! https://wp.me/p3O3z4-2En

    • Yes, I agree. It has been a lot of fun and I will be going back to look at all these posts again over the next week or so as there was so much to take in! I hope you have some winter projects to keep you busy Eliza. I am crocheting like mad at the moment. I find activity is helping me cope. My main worry is not being able to get to the UK should I need too. Thank goodness for Facetime! Let’s hope winter is kind to us all and sbowdrop season will be upon us before we know it. Wishing you a happy Advent as well Eliza. πŸ€—β˜ƒοΈπŸŒ·

    • So glad you enjoyed it as much as I did, and I love that expression ‘gloom buster’! πŸ˜‰ I realised I didn’t take enough photos of flowers this year, so that is going to be a resolution for next year. Thanks for all your contributions and have a great Advent!

  5. Cathy, I love that you mention Jason and his fondness for tithonia. Thank you for a great week of blooms. It was unexpectedly challenging in our household for a variety of reasons, but every single week holds beauty and joy — it’s all a matter of seeking and appreciating. Your flowers today are a grand finale of color! May your start of Advent be extra special this year. There are few things as well-celebrated as Christmas in Germany!

    • The weather sadly stopped me from gathering greenery for a decoration or advent crown… everything is still coated in ice and snow is forecast! Hopefully next weekend….
So glad you had fun too Anna. Thanks for all your photos. Have a great weekend!

  6. Thank you for such an inspiring challenge. I’ve enjoyed everyone’s contributions, visited some new gardens along the way, and smiled every day. It has also made me review my garden, made me realise that I’ve not taken enough photographs in my gardens this year AND reminded my why I returned to blogging – the gardeners and their fabulous gardens.

    • I have not taken enough photos either Christine! So glad you enjoyed it. I was swept away by the response and all the wonderful contributions. Have a lovely weekend. πŸ€—

  7. Cathy THANKS to you for this wonderful Flower Week: it has helped me a lot, I hope you too. It has been a fantastic experience to see spring and summer flowers in the middle of November. Your flowers today I love especially your Geranium Rozanne and your Californian Poppies. The Tithonia had never seen it, I love it. My link https://margaritaexam141.wordpress.com/2020/11/28/flowers-day-seven/ Happy first Sunday of Advent. Take care. Very affectionate greetings from Margarita πŸ˜€πŸ˜˜πŸ€—πŸŒΊπŸŒΌβ

    • I agree Margarita. Seeing all these cheerful flowers and looking back through my own photos has brightened up this week so much! Thank you again and Happy Advent, and greetings from icy Bavaria! β„οΈβ˜ƒοΈβ„οΈ πŸ€—

  8. Cathy, I have loved searching through photos taken earlier in the year, and taking extra photos of flowers around my garden as we approach the summer months. Thank you so much for coming up with the challenge! πŸ™‚
