π Thanks Eunice. I showed them to my Mum and Dad on Facetime and they looked really envious. Sad that I won’t be able to visit them this Christmas.
Look after yourself! π
Delicious cakes, they must smell wonderful and taste better, I love them. This Christmas is going to be different, but with the vaccine next Christmas I am sure that we will all meet as always. I am going to spend Christmas alone with my dear Mother: the two of us together. Happy advent Take good care of yourself and stay safe. Good weekend. Very affectionate greetings from Margarita ππ€β¨β¨
They do smell good Margarita. And on Friday I baked Christmas cookies too and the house smelt of vanilla and oranges. Wonderful! π Take care and have a lovely third advent with your mother. βοΈππ€
Just written my Monday vase post in which I advocate homemade mincemeat, so it’s a real coincidence to see this now! AND I have just realised that I have previously posted my recipe so must go back and add the link.r post made me check, so thanks for that! Is there a connection with IAVOM and mince pies? Looks that way… π
They certainly are! π€ͺ But if I had made the mincemeat earlier I could have added even more brandy or some sherry and then let it soak for a few days. π

Fruit mince pies? They look delicious. π
Thanks Joanne, and they are all for me as nobody else likes/can eat them! π
They look yummy. Iβve been getting mine from the British shop (in Belgium!) but yours look better.
Thanks Sel. I haven’t even been able to find any jars of mincemeat here, let alone a mince pie! So I made my own. π

I love them Debra, and my partner doesn’t, and with no visitors coming these are all for me this year! ππ

π
Looks delicious! I have never tasted mince meat pie.
They are a huge tradition in the UK, but not known or much appreciated here in Germany, so maybe an acquired taste! π
Those look truly fabulous. Are they a bit boozy?
They certainly are! π€ͺ But if I had made the mincemeat earlier I could have added even more brandy or some sherry and then let it soak for a few days. π
Awesome! Those look scrumptious!
