I’ll be doing a post on the park again soon, but the Nepalese pavilion from the 2000 Expo was rebuilt here and started off the development of the park and a collection of plants from the Himalayas. I wrote about it here: https://wordsandherbs.wordpress.com/2017/06/02/the-nepal-himalaya-park/
😃
Looks like a great garden. I wonder if they have geranium himalayense, it’s one of my favourites. So many cool plants are from the Himalayas it seems. Love those red Lupinus from your 2017 post.
Those lupins are great, aren’t they! I am sure they have that geranium, but don’t think I got any photos of geraniums this time. I might get a season ticket next year and try and visit earlier in the year as well. I still haven’t timed it right to see the rhododendrons!
❤ !
😃🌻☀️🐝🦋 Have a lovely day Eliza!
Great photo of the bee! Looks like an interesting place, what’s the link with Nepal?

Yes timing these things is tricky, I was thinking the same for the botanical gardens here, once a month would be something to aim for 😀🤞
The bumble must be getting a good nectar reward as the Eryngium looks very prickly. It’s a beautiful blue colour. Amelia
The bees were on all sorts of prickly looking flowers… thistles, artichokes, Echinops etc 😃🐝
How exciting Cathy! Beautiful photo with the bee on the Eryngium.
Thanks Susie! 😃
