I have been taking a break due to travel and a rather nasty cold, but I look forward to returning to the blogging world again soon. In the meantime, I wish you all a very Happy Christmas!
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year 2023!!!! Cathy I sincerely hope you get well and regain all your health and strength. Cathy I love your Christmas tree. Have a good time!!!! Very affectionate greetings from Margarita.
Have you come over to the UK to see your parents, I wonder – or just travelling within Germany? I do hope your cold and feeling under the weather didn’t spoil Christmas too much. Take care
Hi Cathy. I was in the UK before Christmas but caught my cold there and my Mum got it too! Very annoying for us both. The journey home was horrible but I was well enough to cook Christmas dinner so am grateful for that. More or less back to normal now and hope to get back to blogging and catch up with everyone this coming week. Hope you had a good Christmas Cathy. π€
Oh what a rough time you seem to have had of it, Cathy but I was pleased to hear you were picking up by Christmas. Did your Mum recover by then too? Was it how you were feeling that made the return journey awful, or were there transport difficulties? We were due to go to my Mum’s but postponed it due to the potential weather conditions – which now seem to have arrived a week later than forecast, but it was still wise to have taken the decision and not risked it
My Mum and Dad had to postpone their Christmas Day but celebrated with my sister yesterday. It was absolutely packed at Birmingham Airport and I spent about 1 1/2 hours queuing for check-in, security, and then boarding! Then I had an allergic reaction to something in the sandwich I boughtβ¦.π― It is such a long day at the best of times (about 10 hours door-to-door) so I just collapsed in a heap when I finally got home!
Oh my goodness, a Christmas to forget all round, perhaps. It’s such a long journey for you – although. thinking about it, it’s similar to the time it takes us to get to my Mum’s!! π The allergic reaction on top of evreything else must have seemed like the last straw… π
Happy Christmas to you, Cathy!
