I had to smile as this brought back memories of my gardens in New Hampshire as each year my garden seemed to grow a few inches because of edging the edge. 😊
It’s looking good, Cathy. My husband edges our tiny grass patch and even if it’s too wet to mow, I always think it looks cared for, and smarter. I’m looking forward to seeing the bed as the seasons progress.
Thanks Alys! I am halfway round, but taking a break. It’s always the same in spring – after not doing any gardening for months my body refuses to do what I want it to! I notice I am not getting any younger! 🤪
Yes, and I should be wiser and stretch it out a bit more! But I do enjoy it when we get the first warm days and I can hear the bees and the woodpeckers and other birds while working. 😃
I think I filled one, but only did one side of The ‘Edge bed then. While doing other beds I filled several trugs several times and the beds have grown a little…. 😉
Thanks for sharing this idea Anita
I do this every spring and the beds slowly get a tiny bit bigger each year! LOL!
Thanks 👍

😄 Same here! I don’t like hard landscaping as it limits my possibilities to expand! LOL!

Thanks Catherine. I have got about half way with the edging, but my back has demanded a rest for a few days!
I hope your back feels better soon, Cathy. That looks like a big job.

Ah yes. If only we could reverse time.
Good work, Cathy, but don’t overdo it, plenty of time to get it done. 🙂
Wise words Eliza. I always rush at it when we get the first warm days, but regret it after…. I am feeling my age! ☺️
Yeah, I’ve had to learn to limit myself, I’m not 30 anymore! 😀
That looks like a LOT of work, Cathy!

Did you fill those trugs, Cathy?!

A gardener’s idea of paradise – doing the chores and making the garden look spectacular! ❤
I had to have a week off though as I overdid all the digging! 😆
Oh no! I do the same thing quite often! It’s the best type of pain though when you can admire the reason for the aches while you recover. 😉
