It’s Day Two of my ‘Week of Flowers’, where I invite you to join me in sharing a photo (or five!😉) of flowers from your 2022 garden over a whole week. You can post just one day or each day, up to Tuesday December 6th. But do leave a link in the comments so that we can all see what you have found to share!
So many have already joined in and commented, with a few new faces too. 😆
I am going to go a bit mad today with six photos to share. 🤪First of all, my beautiful tulip ‘Texas Gold’. The different shades over the flowering period are quite outstanding…
Next up is one of the Salvias I grew in the Herb Bed this summer called ‘Icing Sugar’. And it really is a sugary pink. 😉
And finally two Echinacea flowers, the names of which escape me right now.

Thanks to all those already participating and all the lovely comments. Let’s brighten up December together!
Have a great day!

What fabulous colours Cathy.
Here’s my Day Two:
Thanks Sandra!
These are lovely Cathy, there are so many lovely Salvias around. I have a bright pink one, but I hope to add to my collection this year.

I also want to extend my collection. Sadly so many are not hardy, and my cuttings are a disaster! 😜
I love these. The tulips are fabulous and I love salvias. Here’s a link to my post https://betweenthelinesbookblog.com/2022/12/01/a-week-in-flowers-challenge-day-2-flowers-aweekinflowers-gardeningtwitter/
Thank you Cathy! 😃

I look forward to my tulips next spring as I always have some new ones to try out. My first entry today as yesterday was a busy blog day and I am cheating by using flowers that were in bloom during the month of November, though not from my garden, but one that is fairly local (4 miles away) and has some of the most wonderful plants.
Any flower that blooms in November deserves to be highlighted in a blog post! 😃
I actually found some flowers yesterday in Penzance, but have already scheduled these flower posts. I shall have to do a separate post later in the month.
Think we are all Salvia fiends? I have just started to root some cuttings. Amazing the range of these flowers. I love seeing your bulbs again and wish Echinacea would grow here! https://theshrubqueen.com/2022/12/01/a-week-of-flowers-day-two/
Good luck with your cuttings Amelia. I have three weak specimens left out of over a dozen and I have no idea if any of them are going to survive! 😜
Thanks this is my first attempt at cuttings.

A lovely bunch of colorful flowers!
Thank you! 😃
I have just been reading about an echinacea that seems to be more relaible than others, so perhaps I will try again as I do like their colour and form. Icing Sugar seems hardy here, and so far I am remembering to cut it back enoough in spring to stop it getting woody. My Day 2 post is at https://ramblinginthegarden.wordpress.com/2022/12/01/a-week-of-flower-day-2-just-hanging-about/
I actually sowed some Echinacea this spring, and a couple actually flowered… they were simply the original Echinacea purpurea and not hybrids, but were a pretty reddish pink.
How was germination?
Extremely good, which surprised me. Maybe 100%. But the conditions when planting them out were not ideal so only a handful survived… we’ll see whether they come back next year!
Let’s hope so – and I will get some seeds myself 👍
Beautiful, one and all.
Thanks Kris!
One can never see too many pictures of Tulips! My Day 2 is here: https://www.lindabrazill.com/each_little_world/2022/12/a-week-of-flowers-day-2.html
I agree! I love seeing everyone else’s tulips as there are just so many different ones. And they are all lovely! 😃
Oh, lovely blooms. Gets me excited for the growing season ahead. Thanks for sharing the colorful beauties!
It does make you think of spring, doesn’t it! Although I enjoy the quiet winter time with other hobbies, I am already impatient for colour in the garden. 😃
More tulips! I love the parrots you’ve shown, I really need to try a few again since for as much as I enjoy the natural shape, the parrots are so much more 🙂

Yes, and to think I used to think they were a bit gaudy! Now I would just say cheeky and colourful! 😜
